We are the Macromedia User Group for Columbus, Ohio Macromedia developers. Our focus is primarily on web application development using Dreamweaver MX 2004, and we try to mix in Microsoft .NET technologies using Macromedia tools. We believe we are a first of our kind in the U.S. in this regard, but it is a logical step considering so many business and professional entities are using Microsoft technologies, but so many people also love the ease and power of Macromedia software. And with MX 2004, we have a perfect match to combine the two, which is why we focus on what we do.

We have been in existence since September 2003, having recently celebrated our 2 year anniversary as a usergroup, and we are setting attendance records with each meeting that we have. We try to also emphasize community as well as technology by having events such as our "canned food for admission" meeting, and try to plan social activities to benefit our community as well.

We are a free usergroup to join, and anyone can attend our meetings. Our rapid growth should continue to ensure the free membership, as the more attractive we are to sponsors, the easier access we have to meeting facilities, as well as benefits, prizes, and resources for our members.
