Microsoft
Office 2003 Professional Edition
Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Edition is the latest version
of the leading Office software in the history of the world. And
while it may be virtually impossible to improve upon something
that is used by almost everyone and does everything it's users
could possible need or imagine, Microsoft managed to do just that
with 2003.
With new heavy use of XML, the things possible with the Office
2003 are things that were never even imagined in previous versions
of the software. Reports that read a database to automatically
update themselves, automatic HTML email in Outlook, incredible
sharing of information amongst an organization make Office 2003
the first "Highly Recommended Upgrade" from the Office
package in years. Outlook provides an revolutionary way of viewing
emails in a more readable format, using the preview pane to show
more of the content while organizing received emails according
to date received, effortlessly organizing your important information
to the touch of your fingertips.
Word seems like something that couldn't possible be imporved upon,
but does using a new way of thinking - such as a new layout view
option making documents more readable, as easy to read as a book
that you can flip through pages, as well as the aforementioned
and easy to use "live"document, that updates itself
automatically by reading relevant data to display.
The new layout and modernized feel alone makes this a solid upgrade.
Do you need to upgrade if you are happily using Office 2000 Professional?
No. But if you want to stay cutting edge and show your employees
that you really do care about their productivity, then you won't
regret the decision to upgrade. The features may seem like overkill
at first, but once you start using them regularly on a day to
day basis, you will wonder how you managed to go so long without
all of them.
