Rome – La dolce vita
From north, to the Mediterranean or to Sicily, Italy may well be visited on foot or, for romantics, with the bicycle. I exaggerate a little, right?! I hate to think how long I need to find a country like Italy – jovial, romantic, noisy, effervescent, and tempestuous. Where is best to discover the personality of a country than elsewhere in the city emblem, the capital?
I invite you along me to discover dolce vita on the Roman streets, in crowded markets or cafes. It’s a city which never bore you, even if you have visited several times. I’ve been twice and I wouldn’t say “no” to the next trip. Every time I think that places remain undiscovered.
Rome – the place where history has been written
To start from somewhere: the place where millions of believers gather every year to listen to Christmas or Easter services. I think you realize that is about Vatican. Whether we speak of Basilica San Pietro, minutes spent in market or visit Vatican Museums, Vatican may be the push you need to enjoy of what means Rome. Necessarily have to go in museums, especially which you should not miss under any circumstances masterpiece of Vatican – Sistine Chapel.
Basilica – is a must: Pieta by Michelangelo. As advice, make an appointment prior on the Internet. You never know how busy can be the input. Certainly the days of the weekend should be avoided, when even more tourists leave to Vatican. Another thing I like about Rome is that the most important monuments and tourist attractions are easily found and is in almost perfect knitting.
What you must see from the itinerary of travel would be the Pantheon – the natural light coming through the ceiling, Piazza Navona – where painters in Rome, a delight for the souls of artists. As churches and cathedrals, everywhere you will find them all as beautiful and impressive. Perhaps most important would be Santa Maria from Transtevere (the oldest church in Rome), Basilica San Giovanni from Laterano and Santa Maria Degli Angeli, the protector of the martyrs located in Piazza Republica.
In steps of shopping in Rome
A place as one street – Via del Corso. Even if shopping is everywhere in Rome, the most famous stores gathered here. Zara is on 5 floors, but nor Miss Sixty, Gucci, Chanel, Luisa Via Roma (Marc Jacobs), Guya (Vivienne Westwood), Swarovski are not bypassed. And when it comes to caring for your wallet, the best choice is United Colors of Benetton or Nike, and even H & M.
